Giftinglist

Terms of Use

Last updated October 31, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Greg Robleto (“we”, “us”), who runs Giftinglist. By creating an account or using Giftinglist, on the web or in the iPhone app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Giftinglist.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
  • Give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
  • Tell us right away at support@giftinglist.app if you think someone else has access to it.

Your content

What you add to Giftinglist (people, occasions, ideas, gifts and notes) stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy and display it only so we can provide Giftinglist to you. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

You’re responsible for what you add. Only record information about other people that you have a right to keep and that you need for planning gifts.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • break the law, or use Giftinglist to harass anyone or to store others’ information without a right to;
  • try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or probe, disrupt or overload our systems;
  • scrape, copy, resell or reverse engineer Giftinglist, except where the law allows it.

The service

We work to keep Giftinglist available and your data safe, but we may change, pause or end features, and it may sometimes be unavailable. Giftinglist is a planning tool: budgets and totals are only as accurate as what you enter, and we’re not responsible for purchases you make or dates you miss. We recommend downloading a copy of your data from Settings from time to time.

If we ever offer paid features, we’ll show the price and terms before you buy. Purchases made in the iPhone app are handled by Apple under its terms.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to download your data.

Disclaimers

Giftinglist is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Some places don’t allow these exclusions, so they may not all apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Giftinglist. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Apple

If you use the iPhone app, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for the app, its content, maintenance or support, or any claims about it, and has no warranty obligation for it beyond refunding any purchase price where applicable. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you aren’t in a country under a US government embargo and aren’t on any US government list of restricted parties.

Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Giftinglist after that, the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep any protections the law where you live gives you.
